Please uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types' on your system. On Windows XP: Open Windows Explorer. Click 'Tools -> Folder Options' menu. Click 'View' tab. You can find 'Hide extensions for known file types' under 'Advance Settings'. |

If you leave this unckeched, Business Manager will not save this Document if another document with the same title already exists.
Document date.
Document title.
Type of the Document (Example: Invoice, Purchase Order, Covering Letter etc..). Click 'List -> Document Type' to review the pre-populated list. Click 'New -> Document Type' to create new ones.
Reference number if any. If provided, reference number must be unique. That is, no two documents can have the same reference number.

Monetary value of the document. Documents of type 'Purchase Order' carry a value whereas documents of type 'Presentation' do not.
Document Version. Example: V 1.0, V 1.2.5
Contact associated with the Document. Example: Documents of type 'Invoice' will always have a Contact associated.
Document Author. Example: A Drawing prepared by an employee.
Electronic file represented by the Document. Business Manager stores a copy of this file in the database. See Document System.
